Trench Rescue, Operations (Level I)

Every year someone in the prairies loses their life in a trench collapse. Because many of these situations take place in rural areas they are not responded to by trained responders.

Rescuers responding to Trench Rescue calls often put their own life in jeopardy in an effort to save the trapped victim. If you not aware of the dangers involved with trench rescue, you are putting your own life at risk, as well as a risk of bringing more physical harm to the victim.

This 20 hour program is designed to make rescue personnel aware of the proper safety procedures to use when responding to the trench rescue situation.
