Emergency Vehicle Defensive Driving 

Course Overview:

12 hour program

This program is designed for fire/rescue/EMS personnel who, in the course of their duties, will encounter stressful situations in traffic.

The 16 hour program covers vehicle inspection, maintenance, cushion of safety, defensive driving skills, vehicle dynamics involving gravel, highway, intersections and urban streets, emergency driving awareness, safe backing, pre-trip inspections, hands on driving and obstacle course.

The EVDD course covers the Highway Traffic Act and the Vehicular Act and discusses the requirements for first responders.
