Hazardous Materials- Farm Chemicals/Agricultural Sprayer/Agricultural Aircraft Accident

Course Overview:

16 hour program - meet or exceed NFPA 1006/1670 requirements.

This program is designed to provide the knowledge required to respond to an incident involving an agricultural sprayer involved in a crash or rollover incident or agricultural aircraft involved in a crash situation.

The program provides the information to respond to the incident safely and extricate the occupants in a safe, timely manner.

The program covers the preplanning required to deal with the hazardous materials/pesticides, the equipment and personal protective requirements. basic decontamination, casualty extrication and packaging for transport.

DOT requirements for response to agricultural aircraft accidents, aircraft construction and the safe approach to an aircraft accident are presented.

Practical skills involve a response to a downed aircraft. (agricultural aircraft simulator is used).
