Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making the Trans-Care Rescue website usable by as many people as reasonably possible.

Our commitment

Trans-Care Rescue is committed to improving the accessibility and usability of this website for people with disabilities. Our current design and development target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

A formal independent conformance audit has not yet been completed, so we do not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. We use automated checks, keyboard review and ongoing design and code improvements as part of our internal quality process.

Accessibility measures

Measures incorporated into the website include:

  • semantic headings, landmarks and form labels;

  • keyboard-operable navigation and visible focus indicators;

  • responsive layouts and controls designed for a range of screen sizes;

  • colour-contrast review and information that is not communicated by colour alone;

  • text alternatives for meaningful images where available;

  • reduced-motion support for visitors who request it;

  • status and validation messages intended to work with assistive technologies; and

  • ongoing accessibility checks as pages and components are added or updated.

Compatibility and technology

The website is designed for current versions of major browsers and common desktop and mobile operating systems. Accessibility relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG and WAI-ARIA used with modern browser and assistive-technology support.

Older browsers, unusual browser and assistive-technology combinations, disabled JavaScript or aggressive content-blocking settings may affect some interactive features. The core product, training, service and contact information is intended to remain understandable across a broad range of environments.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may have limitations, including:

  • older or manufacturer-supplied documents and product manuals that may not be fully tagged for assistive technology;

  • third-party video, maps, social media or embedded content that is controlled by another provider;

  • technical product images whose available source text may not yet fully describe every relevant visual detail; and

  • newly imported or externally generated content that may require accessibility review after publication.

We review and improve these areas as they are identified. Contact us if you need information in a different format or encounter a barrier that is not listed here.

Requesting an accessible alternative

If a page, product document, form or other resource is difficult to use, tell us what you were trying to access, the page address, the barrier encountered and the format or assistance that would help. We will work with you to provide the information or a reasonable alternative as soon as reasonably possible.

You do not need to disclose a diagnosis or unnecessary personal information when requesting accessibility assistance.

Feedback

Accessibility feedback can be sent to reception@trans-carerescue.com, submitted through our contact page, or provided by telephone at 1-800-717-3728. Our mailing address is 225 Service Road West, Langham, Saskatchewan S0K 2L0.

We will acknowledge and assess accessibility feedback as soon as reasonably possible. Feedback is shared only with the people needed to investigate and respond, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Assessment and updates

This statement is based on an internal review of the website and its reusable components. We will update it as assessment work, technology and known limitations change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
