Cookie Policy

A clear explanation of the essential and optional technologies used by this website—and the choices available to you.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Cookies can remember a preference, maintain a secure authenticated session or help measure how a website is used. Similar technologies can collect performance or usage events without storing a traditional browser cookie.

Our consent approach

The website uses a first-party cookie to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. Google Tag Manager and the Google Analytics tags configured through it load only after you accept analytics. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from browsing the website or submitting a form.

You can revisit your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you withdraw previously granted consent, the page reloads so that Google tags do not continue running in the new document.

Essential cookies

The following first-party cookies support website preferences or secure administration:

  • tcr_cookie_consent — stores “accepted” or “rejected” so the website can respect your analytics choice. It expires after 180 days unless you delete it sooner.

  • Payload authentication cookie — used only when an authorized website administrator signs in to the content-management area. It maintains the secure admin session and is not used to track general visitors.

Optional Google Analytics cookies

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies through our Google Tag Manager configuration. These may include:

  • _ga — distinguishes users for aggregate measurement; Google lists a default expiration of up to two years.

  • _ga_<measurement-id> — maintains session state for a Google Analytics property; Google lists a default expiration of up to two years.

Cookie names, durations and behaviour may change when Google updates its services or when we adjust our configuration. We do not send form answers or direct contact information to Google Analytics.

Cookieless performance measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and real-world website performance. According to Vercel, Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and its data points are anonymous. Speed Insights records page and route performance information without tying it to an identifiable visitor or reconstructing a browsing session across pages.

Information may include a page or route, referrer, approximate country or region, browser, device, operating system, network speed and web-performance measurements. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about service providers and processing outside Canada.

Managing cookies

In addition to the website’s Cookie settings control, most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect authenticated administration or preference storage, but the public website and enquiry form are designed to remain usable without optional analytics cookies.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. Our consent control is the most reliable way to communicate your analytics choice to this website.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy when website technologies or our practices change. Questions can be sent to reception@trans-carerescue.com or raised through our contact page.
