EMERGENCY VEHICLE DEFENSIVE DRIVING

This 12-hour course is designed to teach defensive driving in emergency situations stressing proper driver/vehicle control and driver awareness so as not to put themselves in a position of danger.

It is applicable to Fire, Ambulance, and Rescue personnel. The course is presented with emphasis on individual or agency’s needs.

In-class instruction consists of lecture, video, and power point presentations and concentrates on preventive measures. The "hands-on" intense practical focuses on driver/vehicle control, steering techniques, using evasive techniques to safely maneuver vehicles in emergency situations, collision avoidance, parking and backing techniques.
