WHMIS

WHMIS is a joint federal / provincial regulatory system. The objective of WHMIS is to ensure that chemicals are handled safely in the workplace.

Students will be introduced to WHMIS symbols, labels, and the procedures for filling out MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets). Recognition and safe handling, as well as the use and storage of hazardous materials in the workplace will be covered.
